微软又有一项产品将终止服务。微软公告，windows server 20h2将在下个月来到eos（end of service）。
根据windows server生命周期，windows server 20h2是2020年10月20日发布，并于2022年8月9日终止服务。微软说明，届时20h2版不会再接获安全更新。
微软同时说，这个版本也是最后一个windows server半年信道（semi-annual channel，sac）。未来windows server不会再有sac版本，windows server会移到长期维护信道（long-term servicing channel，ltsc）作为主要发布信道。ltsc为2到3年发行一次新版本，提供5年主要支持，加上5年延伸支持。
使用windows server sac的用户，微软鼓励转到ltsc版本，或是将sac版本搬移到azure stack hci。
