美国总统拜登提议对大企业课税以平抑通胀，惹恼亚马逊（amazon）创办人贝佐斯（jeff bezos），这几天两度发文批评拜登误导大众。
cnbc、business insider报道，美国4月通胀持续徘徊40年高点，重创拜登支持度。拜登14日推文称：“想降低通胀吗？我们应该确保最富有的企业公平缴纳税款”。

贝佐斯当天立刻推文反击，要求当局新成立的不实消息委员会检讨拜登推文。贝佐斯说，讨论调高企业税没问题、压抑通胀也是重要议题，但是把两者混为一谈纯为“误导”（misdirection）。

15日贝佐斯再次开炮，抨击拜登政府才是物价暴涨的源头。经济过热的通胀环境，拜登政府却力图祭出更多刺激案，是参议员曼钦挡下法案才避免自伤。通胀是累退税（regressive tax），对最不富裕者伤害最大，误导济于事。累退税的意思是纳税人所得和财富越高，实际税率越低。
拜登等人长期批评亚马逊和贝佐斯未缴税。propublica去年公布，2017、2018年亚马逊未支付任何联邦所得税。贝佐斯本人2007、2011年也未缴纳半毛所得税款；贝佐斯资产净值高达1,370亿美元。
拜登2019年曾说，他对亚马逊没意见，但获利数十亿美元的企业，税率不该低于消防员或教师，应该奖励辛勤工作而非财富。
